Nosework

Imagine training your dog without any teaching.??? It sounds confusing, but if you set your antecedents right, your dog will learn to use his incredible nose to find hidden treats without any instructions from you. Learn to observe your dog, how to set him up for success, and how and when to reset the training session if things don’t go as planned. In this course, we use treats and/or toys and like in all my training, we start in an environment with minimal distractions before moving on to more challenging locations. The framework is a positive learning experience for all dogs, but since every dog is different, so are their learning paths and paces. For anxious dogs, this course offers the opportunity to learn independence, for active dogs, it teaches them to stay on task and for all dogs, using their nose is a great enrichment opportunity. These are just a few benefits of letting your dog to use their nose.
